When you turn on the tap, you don’t think twice. The water flows. It’s clear. It’s safe.
But in rural Cambodia, clean water isn’t a guarantee. For many families, it’s a daily struggle — one that quietly affects health, opportunity, and quality of life.
That’s why we created The Do Good Project. Because we believe that every home we help in Australia should help someone else, somewhere else, access one of life’s most essential needs: safe water.
A Problem That’s Easy to Miss — But Impossible to Ignore
Across rural Cambodia, families often rely on ponds, rivers, and open wells as their primary water source. These are shared by entire villages and used for drinking, cooking, bathing, and cleaning. But this water is frequently contaminated with bacteria, parasites, and agricultural runoff.
The effects are felt every day — from chronic illness and malnutrition to missed school and reduced income. In many cases, the only alternative is boiling water over firewood, which can be expensive, time-consuming, and still not fully effective.
This isn’t something we’ve just read about in reports. It’s something we’ve tracked closely through our partner organisations — teams on the ground who are working tirelessly to deliver change where it’s needed most.
And it’s why we’re committed to being part of the solution.
Our Mission: 10,000 Families by 2030
Every time someone in Australia installs a Good Water filtration system, part of that purchase goes directly toward providing a biosand water filter to a family in Cambodia.
These filters are simple, durable, and incredibly effective. They don’t require electricity or chemicals and can last up to 10 years. Using layers of sand and gravel, they naturally remove up to 99% of harmful pathogens from drinking water — using only gravity.
Each unit supports the daily water needs of a household, significantly reducing their exposure to waterborne disease.
Our goal is clear:
To help 10,000 families gain access to clean water by 2030.
And we’re building that impact one home at a time.
How It Works — And Why It Matters
We partner with experienced, community-based organisations who oversee the production, delivery, and education process around these filters.
Local teams manage the training and follow-up, ensuring families know how to use and maintain the system properly. It’s not just a donation — it’s a transfer of knowledge and long-term value that supports health, education, and dignity.
Through these partnerships, we receive progress updates, success stories, and verified data on the filters being installed — so we know exactly where your impact is going.
What Your Purchase Really Means
When you choose Good Water for your home, you’re choosing more than a cleaner shower or fresher drinking water. You’re choosing to be part of a much bigger story — one where your decision helps rewrite the daily reality for someone else.
A family that used to rely on unsafe water now has a trusted supply.
A child who missed school due to illness now has a better shot at staying healthy.
A mother no longer worries about what’s in the cup she gives her child.
These are real shifts happening on the ground — and you’re helping make them possible.
The Bigger Picture
We’re not a charity. We’re a business with a purpose. A company built on the belief that good water at home should mean greater impact elsewhere.
The Do Good Project isn’t a side initiative. It’s central to who we are. And it’s how we intend to grow — not just by selling systems, but by changing the way people think about their water and their place in the world.
Because water should do more than quench thirst.
It should lift people up.
And when it does — everyone wins.
Thank You
Whether you’ve already joined us or you’re just learning about what we do — thank you. This work only happens because people like you choose to care.
Clean water for your family.
Clean water for someone else’s.
That’s the ripple effect.
And it starts with you.
